Marco Castro brings ten years of experience in Project Management and Architectural Design. As a Designer and a licensed Architect in Costa Rica, Marco Castro works directly with clients and coordinates projects from start to finish, from initial design through the completion of construction. As an entrepreneur, Marco is also the director and co-founder of our international design studio, VIS, where he oversees and manages the design team from the initial stages through the construction of each project.

Marco loves the business side of architecture and the early stages of design and exploration; Marco enjoys listening to client needs and has a relentless passion for achieving well-crafted places. Marco firmly believes in humility, dedication, and honesty as the main tools to achieve outstanding results.

Born and raised in San Jose Costa Rica, Marco married Grace in January 2016, in 2019 Grace and Marco had their first child Evelyn Grace. Marco is a Register Architect through CFIA (College of Architects & Engineers of Costa Rica and also NCARB Member. Marco earned his bachelor’s degree of apply science in Architecture in 2011 from Veritas University in Costa Rica. Shortly after, Marco moved to Michigan to obtain an MBA with a concentration in strategic management at Davenport University; Marco has resided in Michigan for the past eight years. Upon earning his MBA from Davenport University, Marco Castro worked for five years as a Design Manager at Rockford Construction & URBANEER. Marco’s background includes a broad spectrum of project types, including mix-used, multifamily, industrial, and residential. Marco enjoys spending time traveling to visit family and friends, the beach, all outdoor activities, and running.
