Senior Designer & Architect
Marco Castro has over a decade of experience in project management and architectural design. As a designer and a licensed architect in Costa Rica, Marco works directly with clients and coordinates projects from initial design through construction completion.
As an entrepreneur, Marco is also the director and co-founder of our international design studio, overseeing and managing the design team. He loves the business side of architecture and the early stages of design and exploration. He enjoys listening to client needs and is passionate about achieving well-crafted environments. Marco firmly believes in humility, dedication, and honesty as the main tools to achieve outstanding results.
Marco is a registered architect through the College of Architects & Engineers of Costa Rica (CFIA) and a National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) member. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Applied Science in Architecture from Veritas University. Shortly after, Marco moved to Michigan to obtain an MBA with a concentration in strategic management at Davenport University. He worked for five years as a design manager at Rockford Construction & URBANEER. His background includes a broad spectrum of project types, including mix-used, multifamily, industrial, and residential.
Born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica, Marco married Grace in January 2016. In 2019, Grace and Marco had their first child, Evelyn Grace. Marco enjoys traveling to visit family and friends, being at the beach, and running.
